Hey! I had another kid... He's almost 2 now.

This is Luke Samuel Mortensen.  Hmm.  Maybe I should blog a little more often?

In November we went to Orlando for a week and had a fabulous time.  We spent one day at Coco Beach and I think it was everyone's favorite day.  We had a blast making sand castles, riding boogie boards, catching weird snails, poking jelly fish (Adam even had a little sting) and searching for cool shells.  I went a little crazy taking pictures, which can be annoying at the time, but man oh man do I love them now!

Paul and Adam can be the sweetest big brothers! I love to catch them being awesome.  Jude seems to think Paul is pretty awesome too...

No THING 5 shirts available!!
Showing off their boards.

The reception.

Suzi and Lori.  Lori just can't get enough of those really big cuddly hugs.

Never too big for a kiss from your mama.

Adam and Andy... Noah just waiting for his turn!

This was a shoving contest to see who had to stand by grandma for the
picture.  Looks like Noah won.

50 years next summer.

The Jankiewicz's the elder.

Grandma Grandpa and grandkids... not even all of em.

Spring Family Pics

So.  I couldn't wait until tomorrow when I get the actual cd of all these pictures, I had to steal them from the  photographers blog.  I'm so impatient!  Chelsea Winterholler did an amazing job.  I just love all these boys.

Mesa Temple

Dave and I were married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple... a few years ago.  I would love to have a picture that I took of it to hang in our living room. Over Christmas I had the chance to take a few while I was there to see my nephew Cory sealed to his beautiful wife Danie and baby girl Avril.  These were a few of my favorites.  It is such a gorgeous temple.  Definitely traditional and more simple than others, but it will always be my favorite.  It isn't often you get big puffy white clouds in dry Phoenix, so I especially love the sky in these.

Christmas Pictures 2010

We really should have taken these pictures a month earlier.  I wanted fall leaves, instead I got bare branches and man o' man it was so freakin cold!  Dave kept trying to put coats on the boys and I kept taking them off.  Come on, I didn't buy matching coats, just matching sweaters!  Poor little Jude was saying che e e e ese, as he shivered.  Very cute, but probably not the best planning on my part.  On the bright side, everyone was very happy to put on their matching hats, I anticipated some complaining, but they were just so glad for some warmth.  Jen Bond from my church took the pictures.  With all of us in the freezing cold she only got a few minutes, but they turned out great.

Around the House

Lego Night at the Mortensen house, pants optional.

Man oh man, do my boys love ice cream.  Jude starts off with a spoon, then figures he could get a better grip with his hand.

Its hard to stay in discipline mode when they take the punishment and look that cute doing it.

Suddenly we realize we haven't heard jude in a while and everyone goes to look for him.  He just passed out on his bedroom floor.  It looks like we need to draw a chalk outline of him.  That boy was wiped out.

One of my few favorite things about cold weather,  I love the hats!

Sick Jude.  Dave took this one at 3 in the morning.

Have you ever seen a more pathetic looking little sick baby?  Jude had the flu for almost two weeks and all he wanted was to be held by his mom... which I rather enjoyed.  I just wish he hadn't been so miserable.

Even Smokey was giving Jude some TLC.

Of course he is back to do some trick riding now that is feeling like himself again.  How do they grow up so fast?

Alan, Annette and their baby Kendra Jo getting ready to blow out the candles on Alan's birthday cake.

Noah is SUCH a grandpa's boy.  I get the impression that the feeling is very mutual!

Geez louise mom, stop taking pictures already!

I guess when your baby puts the lens cap back on, it might be time to give it a break.
