Fun Food

On our way to the Luau at the Polynesian Resort. I was impressed the boys kept their flowers on, of course Jude just wanted to eat his.

Paul and Adam went up to learn to dance with all the kids. There were probably 50 kids up there, but Noah wouldn't go. You can tell by the pictures how excited they were...

Adam gave a it a go, but I think he would have had more fun practicing his times tables.

Adam Noah and Paul at the Luau. Waiting for the party to get started.
Mom and Jude.
The boys were thinking this was another way for me to torture them. The did not enjoy the dance lesson, and they claimed to be grossed out by the girl dancers shakin it like you would not believe. Then it all started to turn around. Six guys came out doing the Tongan Slap Dance which was pretty cool. But by the time the guy on the left came out they were screaming and going wild for him. He was twirling and throwing fire, blowing it and balancing it on his feet. He was incredible. We all loved the show.
Breakfast at the Contemporary was really fun. Everyone decided Pluto was their favorite. I'm amazed someone decided to do Characters at Breakfast, because it seemed like Jude could not keep his syrup coated, eggy little hands off. Amazingly the characters always looked clean. They must have a teflon coating. Jude really really loved the characters.
He was always fascinated with their noses.

SeaWorld, Surprisingly Everyone's Favorite Day

Adam and Noah thinking it is pretty cool in the aquarium. Noah is making a fish face because he is being a fish in the picture, obviously! That was a cute little tunnel for kids.

Dave, Paul and Adam wanted to sit in the SPLASH ZONE for the dolphin and Killer Whale shows. I sat up above with Jude and Noah. They got completely soaked by five killer whale tails. I was cracking up and I was VERY happy with my decision to be in the nose bleed section.

Noah feeding the stingrays uncooked shrimp. (of course, cooked shrimp from Red Lobster would have been cheaper, but not as much fun.) Noah thought the rays were enjoying it so much I caught him eating one too.. GROSS!! Those rays were NOT bashful, they would practically climb out of the tank to get at the shrimp.

It looks like Dave is feeding the dolphins baby Jude hands... the dolphin actually went for it once. Luckily they are pretty nice and just gave Jude a start, but let go quick. I think this was the favorite activity of the whole vacation. Everyone loved feeding the dolphins fish and getting to pet their bottom jaws.

I was a little grossed out the first time I tried feeding the rays. But Paul enjoyed watching me freak out. Hey, at least I didn't drop Jude.

Paul and Adam did great feeding them. Adam even rubbed his finger over their teeth and told me not to worry. They aren't sharp, just flat. Whew. Maybe that is the kind of information a mom would like to learn from Animal Planet.... and then he actually had to ask me why SeaWorld doesn't let you do shark feedings??

Everyone had a great time. They had the two biggest roller coasters of our trip. The Kraken, which has aways been my fav and the new Manta. Paul had a great time because there was just no line at all and he was the only one big enough to ride, which made it twice as fun for him. Unfortunately Adam wasn't tall enough for either and was pretty sad. Next time. Always plans for Next Time.

Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon is one of Disney's waterparks and it is awesome. Every 90 seconds a giant typhoon wave comes. Paul and Adam are bracing for it in the white shirts in the middle. Dave thought he could take it, but he got thrown down just like the rest of us.

There was a big little kid section that Noah had a blast at. Everything was just right for him to do by himself. His favorite was the tube slide.

Paul is looking pretty big toting Jude around on his hip. Jude slept through some of the fun, but had fun playing in the shallow water and sand.

Adam always wants to be helpful and is just crazy about Jude.

All my boys at the exit to Typhoon Lagoon. Yeah, I think they had a good time!

Last FULL day at DisneyWorld... what a day.

Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios was a fireworks, water spraying, live action, movie projection spectacular. It ended with all the characters floating by on a ferry. The boys loved it.

We just happened to sit in the section where the before mentioned water spraying effects got caught on the breeze and soaked us pretty good. I've learned you can never go wrong with rain ponchos in Florida!

There was a lot of waiting for the show to get started. Everyone took it pretty well and enjoyed doing the wave... over and over.

The extra magic hours where awesome our last night. We were just walking right on to all the rides at the Magic Kingdom. Jude Loved the little kiddie rides like Winnie the Pooh.

One last pic to say goodbye. The lighting was always changing colors. It was stunning.

The Dreaded Girly Character Breakfast (Mom's Choice)

We got into Park Fair for breakfast at the last minute. It was our last day and we didn't have time for much else before we flew out. It wasn't as girly as I originally wanted, I mean it was no Cinderella's Royal Table, but I thought it was better than nothing. For the most part, the boys took it like men.
Everyone was VERY relieved to see Tigger. Now that is a character everyone liked.

Mary Poppins was curious about how many Nannies I was traveling with. hee hee. Jude reached over and grabbed her very fancy white dress. She said, "since you were so kind as to share your eggs with me, I shall share a kiss with you." Jude was fascinated!
Well. She left her mark on him! The other boys all thought it was hilarious and were VERY glad it was Jude and not them. I'm pretty sure Noah was hiding under the table at this point.
Paul and Alice in Wonderland. You can see how comfortable he was...

All of my boys agreed that the would gladly let me take my granddaughters to Cinderella's Castle. Wow. What an offer.

It was a great trip and we all had a blast getting away together. However. If I continue to blog for 5 pictures about every meal I will be doing this for a very LONG time. So I'll try to skip to the good stuff.

It was a very Merry Christmas!

I think looking at this picture is honestly the first time I've thought to myself, Holy Cow! That looks like a lot of kids!! Luckily, they are everything I ever wanted but didn't know to wish for. We had a wonderful Christmas. We hope you did too.
